Throwback to these lovely stitched cyanotypes from earlier this year for @worldcyanotypeday
My feed is full of cyanotypes as I love them so much. (Including currently working on a 25ft one!) I love how cyanotype fosters experimentation. Experiment! Be the weirdo in the park 💙😊

The largest piece (and darkest of the blues) of this huge wall composition is done! Roughly 11ft of stitched cyanotypes.

It’s definitely a challenge to build something in pieces, unable to see the whole until install day.

So much gratitude to have 15 ft of open floor in which to work on this beauty!

How is it #pioneersquareartwalk again? How is it September??
Did I update my newsletter like I planned to? Nope. Did I get any of those cute little mounted prints listed on my website like I planned to? Nope. Did I get the studio tidied and ready for Artwalk even though it snuck up on me? Yep, at least that! And got these new cutie minis listed at least.
August passed in a blur. September will too, I’m sure. Come say hi while I’m here, holding still for a few hours. Studio is open tonite at 5 until at least 8ish!

Urban Craft Uprising’s BIG summer show is a wrap! I’m so thankful for everyone who came out - or lended a much needed hand - thank you! I connected with SO many folks and had such great conversations - I hope we stay in touch.

Now back to regularly scheduled summertime with a side of home repair - yeehaw! (Water damage right before a big show is not recommended 😂😭😂)

Almost ready for #urbancraftuprising - today & tom

Almost ready for #urbancraftuprising - today & tomorrow in Magnuson Park Seattle 11-5pm!
Early load in to allow this new vendor plenty of time was such a gift!
I’m just one of 140 (!!) that will be here this weekend- quite a feast for the eyes & free to attend. Hope to see you there!

A water leak in a wall doesn’t care if you have other plans like prepping for #urbancraftuprising
A water leak that destroys half your kitchen floor doesn’t care at all.

So yeah, it’s been a week.

I’ll still be at Urban Craft Uprising this weekend while my kitchen is drying out - come say hi and make my week better - Saturday & Sunday July 25-26 11am-5pm at Magnuson Park

Thank you to friends who came out yesterday to the surprisingly sunny Port Townsend for the Handmade Market - it was a joy to see you!
And MONDO thank you to @cyrusdespres for Herculean level help! Could not have done it without. Period. I could sleep a week after this one. It was a solid month of pushing myself to get ready for this event (and the next one coming up in two weeks for Urban Craft Uprising).
I learned a ton and met some fabulous people! And… got quite a few things I’d do differently. It’s all one big journey of trial and error.
For now it’s time to rest and reset. If I nap for two days does it still count as a nap? 💤 😂

The collection is complete! I’ve been working hard on these beauties; collectible mounted prints special for #urbancraftuprising
Small but mighty, these ready to hang prints are sure to brighten wherever they land!

Now to pack up!
Come find these and other lovelies at the Handmade Market in Port Townsend, Saturday 10a-5p

Been working hard getting ready for #porttownsendhandmademarket NEXT weekend - 7/11/26 from 10am - 5pm in Port Townsend!

I’ll have original art, minis and prints as well as a wide variety of these cute little mounted prints! And even a few new wearable art pieces, priced super affordable.

Then later in July 25-26th you can find me at #urbancraftuprising at Magnuson Park, Seattle 11-5!

Lately… there’s been too much going on to be able to keep up with. But I’m pretty excited about these new mounted prints I’m planning to have for #urbancraftuprising this summer! Still working through a few kinks in the prep process but hope to have them available soon. They sure look summery together! I’ll be at both the Port Townsend handmade market July 11, and the UCU Summer show at Magnuson Park, Seattle 7/25-26!

It’ll be a year long #workinprogress but sure is nice to start seeing it come together!

Sometimes a week has so much good stuff packed in

Sometimes a week has so much good stuff packed in that it’s hard to summarize. But I’ll try cuz we all need more good stuff:
1. Very first Columbia City Night market glow. Plan to return in June
2-3 Taught cyanotype to an enthusiastic bunch of students at the Renton Highlands King County Library as part of their 90s remix program
4. Traveled to San Francisco to tag along for KEXP’s Spin Around the Bay. So thankful that I could! Visited Sunset for Tunnel records and loved this beach moment.
5. Enjoyed a couple of good walks through Golden Gate Park
6. Visited the Chapel in the Mission for a Turkish Psychedelic concert (woah)
7. Visited the de Young for the Monet in Venice exhibit - such a privilege and pleasure to see these works in person
8. Was wowed by Rose B. Simpson, a mixed-media artist from Santa Clara Pueblo, New Mexico, refurbished Bosque, a 1964 Buick Riviera painted in vibrant polychrome.
9. Community installation at Thee Stork Club in Oakland seen while enjoying KEXPs Vinelands live

Gratitude doesn’t begin to cover it. A very full week, but what a privilege and delight to get to do these things.

Back from NYC! It was such a privilege to be able to join in person for the opening of Connective Threads. (Thank goodness for a companion fare that needed used, and a companion who wanted to visit NYC again 😘!)

On view through April 19, 2026
BronxArtSpace, 700 Manida St, Bronx, NY 10474,
Artist Talk: Saturday, April 4, 2–4 PM
Closing Reception: Sunday, April 19, 5-7pm

Connective Threads brings together 15 artists working across diverse textile processes— sewing, quilting, weaving, and sculptural assemblage among others—to explore connection as both material structure and social metaphor. Spanning two- and three-dimensional works, and incorporating both traditional fibers and unexpected materials, the exhibition highlights the tactile languages through which artists bind, layer, stitch, and interlace forms into a cohesive whole.

Newly completed pair of coral reef 🪸 grief pieces - cyanotype and stitched canvas! A fun challenge I’ve wanted to explore for some time now of holding the negative space by literal threads 🧵 I’m really pleased with how they turned out! These will soon be en route for a show in NYC at BronxArts, curated by @hayleyferber - thanks Hayley!
